Words fail to describe the absolute awesomness that has commenced with the making of this band:) ITS AMAZING :D

I think the concept of the music video was a little bit confusing with the lyrics of the song. I like the story the song tells, though I do know how it feels to be in the situation depicted in the song, and the tune of the song is definitely not matching with that feeling, for me at least. I've never heard the original version, so maybe it corresponds better with that. That said, I did like the song, it's catchy, and your voices complement each other well. I liked the use of silence on certain beats, and the transitions from voice to voice. However the sort of distorted noise, or whatever it is that the song starts off with, could be turned down a bit in volume, or blended smoother or something? Sorry, I don't really know much at all about making music, so that might not make any sense to you. I did really like the song though. I also liked the picture frame thing at the beginning in your section, but that does not get carried on, and I think it would have been really cool to have as a running motif.

I really love the idea of you guys working as band as well as solo. It's great. The video really turned out great, so tell Charlie he did a freaking good job on that one. Besides I really like all of your voices. So it would be a pitty if only one was leadsinger. This band is so awesome. I really liked this, although it definitely improved as it went on, the end is much stronger than the beginning in my opinion but after a few listens i love it, better the the original, although the band members may make me slightly biased :D Unfortunately though I just went to buy it and found I had 78p in my itunes account and my card refused to work arghhh.

I'll admit, I'm not too keen on the song choice and how you've covered it. there's something about the lyrics and the tune combined that doesn't sit right with me.
Also as an introduction to your new band I don't think going out with a cover that's already been done multiple times by all different artists is a good way to promote yourselves. Personally, the whole cover thing gives of a very amateur vibe to me. Not that I mean to sound harsh, it's just personal opinion. (something I hope you'll appreciate more than “OMG I love you, wicked vid. you're gorgeous.” I could say that, I wouldn't be lying but I'd much rather give you some honest feedback.) I just think, with your talents combined, you could write and produce some pretty decent and enjoyable songs. songs that might even make it as far the charts. (especially with your fanbases united hah)
Despite what I said previously, I am keen on seeing what else you have in store, since I think it's just too soon to make up my mind after just one song.

Words fail me to describe how excited I am for this band!!! I was reading this during my computer class, and I practically started screaming in the middle of class, which wouldn't have been good. My friend later came into the room and we were practically jumping up and down, we were so excited.

I just listened to “Here Comes My Baby”, and I thought it was brilliant!!!!! You guys harmonize really well together, and the song was catchy and well-performed.

I love all of you guys and your music separately, so together it's even better!!!! Can't wait to hear more =D

The most eloquent way to capture the phrase “bros before hoes” if I've ever seen one. But seriously, yes, I quite enjoyed this. Really cool to have a visual narrative to go along with this song. AND thanks for providing a bit of history about the name Sons of Admirals, I quite like that a lot! Thinking up band names is something I wish I could get paid for full time, but alas Alex, ALAS! A book of band names, perhaps?

One bit did concern me on the wiki about the Admirals Men, mainly, this:
They performed regularly in the provinces and at Court in the 1585–87 period; but a fatal accident at one of their performances forced them into a temporary retirement. (During a performance in London on November 16, 1587, stage gunfire went wrong, killing a child and a pregnant woman.)

I watched it, actually made a little squealing sound of excitement, watched the actual music video and I AM AMAZED. I left some really enthusiastic comments on both videos, I was very excited :P

Yes, the caps lock was necessary because I feel that is the only way I can properly express how overwhelmed, amazed and impressed I am by this! God, who'd've known that by “new musical thing”, you meant a new freaking band. Wow, I am blown away XD

Everyone in this band is just dripping of talent, and I think coming together to make this huge amalgamation of everything (or everyone) we love brings out the best in all of you, truly.

I think this is the best thing Charlie's ever edited! All the fancy camera angles!! All of your voices blend so well together, it's almost seamless! I had a brilliant time watching the video; the story itself was very very very amusing, ha ha :D I also really like the “para para pa pa”s, and the … xylophone sounding tingy sounds (yes… my musical knowledge is astounding) and even the pointless things like how the red and blue of Charlie and Tom's hair complimented each other so well…

All in all, it was very, very exciting. Collaboration, collective awesomeness, I don't know what you want to call it, but it WORKED. I can't wait to hear more :D

I do really enjoy this but I think the beat is overpowering at times. The harmonies are great and I love the collaboration. The voices get a little lost, though.

I watched the video about why the band is called 'Sons of Admirals' but I just have to say, due to the fact I am partially obsessed with napoleonic naval history, admirals ftw!!!

Loved it, but… I thought the music – especially the drum – was overwhelming. It's sad, cause your voices come together so good, it's blissful to listen to you all in one song, as a chorus, one after the other, etc. I'm not sure about the choice of song – but it fits your style: pop, a good strong beat, a little light and smily.

It reminds me that some comments about Time of Your Life were about the overwhelmingness of the music in the beginning of the song. You explained, and I agree for the art sake, but still, if my ears are annoyed because they try and stretch to hear the voice, it remains annoying no matter how I could agree with what you wanted to achieve as an effect.
Same here. I dunno if you meant to have the voices not as strong as the drum, but I wish we heard you (you = all 4 guys) more. I have the same problem with the … organ? what the heck is that instrument?… on What You Do. I can't even listen to the song in my car (or at all for that matter), because of that instrument!!! It pierces my ears, it actually hurts. If it wasn't as loud – if it was just a music line and not THE music line, I could listen to the song, but it overwhelms the whole song. It saddens me.

Anyway, can't wait to hear/see an actual collaboration involving lyrics and melody and all. An original one. I love how your talents and personalities come together.

But I don't know if he told you guys the dutch meaning of SOA (probably he didn't and just forgot about it :P)

This is totally in your hand nows. Seize the day and make make it count. It's only down to you, you cannot rely on other people. It's YOUR fate. Be proactive and make it happen.

Make some cracking songs with this group and then get as many of your fans together as possible and have loads of fun. You have thousands and thousands of fans but seem to be reluctant to meet them very often. These are the people responsible for your fantastic occupation and lifestyle but they must soon surely start to feel neglected. Please correct me if I am wrong but that is how I perceive it.

In my opinion, you should make a call to all your fans and have a wicked, fun, creative days of music and art and play and whatever with them in the sun. There will be so much excitement, noise, creativity and fun. Really do something to get the fans involved in your music and t-shirt designs. Write a song with them where they come up with some of the lyrics or make a song where some people from the audience are doing percussion or just up and dancing with you. Get out there and meet and get involved with the fans who have watched EVERY single one of your videos EVER. Show them how much they mean to you and let them show how much you mean to them. It's probably strange for you because when you meet these people they are just a stranger but when these people meet you it's like they are meeting a friend because they feel they know your personality and a lot about our life. It's wonderful that you have this relationship with people so you could explore it. Show what the internet community is all about and how we can all share our thoughts and ideas to make something awesome but not just on the internet. This will make people notice. You have the power to make the future. Put yourself really out there, develop with it personally as it takes on another level. It probably will change you but only for the better.

In my opinion, the “Here Comes My Baby” song might turn out to be my favorite song of all time on Youtube! It simply has not left my mind after the first time that I saw it on the day that it came out! So yes, thank you!

aww, this song is brilliant… I really enjoyed watching it, though I didn't lol, because I don't lol. I didn't particularly like the acting and the sudden change from anger to a smile in the last scenes… it seemed to me to be quite simply very bad and amateur acting… also, I can't help notice that I categorized the four of you into two groups: coloured and natural… that is to say, not skin but hair. To be even more precise, I thought Charlie and Tom were simply much more outlined characters than Ed and you, Alex. In fact, I thought Tom to be a much more sympathetic person than you other two, even though I only knew you and Charlie before watching this video. since, I have watched a whole load of Toms videos, simply because I grew to like him.

I suggest, -and this is not only on the basis that you would be more charismatic-, that you and Ed also dye your hair a strong colour. Due to the fact that I am sure you have already had these thoughts before, and have decided against it (apparently, or maybe you are planning on a surprise?), I simply wish to give you my thoughts, and arguments for you changing your hair colour: First and foremost, it would strengthen the effect you wish to achieve that you are all one while all separate: each of you have your own colour, your own style, your own path and your own life, though you would retain, if not bring back into balance the crack your troop have between you. while friends, Charlie is yet a great celebrity, and is far apart from the rest of your community, as you so nicely illustrate with your map of the nerdfighters. Tom is indisputably a musical genius, and I think enjoys your company also because it helps his inner metronome tick on, leading him through life. admittedly, I no nothing about Eddplant, and if he is completely against colouring his hair it would have a great impact if you were to change your nonetheless, though I feel he can not be too opposed, as he is as far as I know the only one among you who openly has piercings.

you four would certainly be circled with the same pen, which I think is only fitting, as you do have a strong friendship that should not be forgotten. The four of you do a lot of work alone, with little reference to the others (though you do reference the other three more than they do you), and so it would not make you a compact band, simply be a reminder that you are not only a solo artist, but have friends, and a whole community behind you.

As a last note, I just want to point out that if you were to dye your hair, the choice of colour you select could have a profound symbolic impact on the world of you and your watchers.

(for instance, you do not want to have white hair unless you wish to make commercials for Uncle Sam)
