The London Elephant Parade

So guys, let me be clear – I didn’t expect to be releasing another song from my new album before its iTunes release on Monday. However, it turns out you’re getting one early :D

I got a ridiculous amount of blog comments yesterday. Thank you for those. Let’s see how many of you stick around :p It’s a bit of a different vibe over here than what you get on Charlie’s sites; little bit more vulgarity and a little less quality. ENJOY.

The challenge I picked was to find all of the London elephants, a task made much easier when I discovered they had all been moved to the exact same place. I needed some music to go with the video, so I picked “You And Me”, the first track off my new album =)

Let’s not talk about Doctor Who. While Russell T Davies was high on emotion and low on plots that made sense, Moffat has gone completely the other way, giving us a story so convoluted that I never knew what was going on and how things could possibly be happening, and subsequently, I forgot to care.

    i actually like Moffat as a writer, i didnt think i would. Then again, i didnt think i would like Matt Smith but i was wrong about him too (my love for tennant will never die though) I cried both happy and sad tears at the end of the episode tonight, now i cant wait for christmas! :D

    I freaking loved doctor who I was after last weeks like omg He never has a plan david always has a plan but this weeks was so good but agreed it was confusing and you probabally posted this before you seen todays episode this was more for the benefit of the person before who said it was poor. Album preordered and I might get a t-shirt. I love the elephant the under the sea beatles one was epic!

    Hmmm.. The plot of the ending episode was okay, but it was still the best episode ever! Matt Smith in a suit/Tuxedo/Smoking (is it all the same? I'm dutch, you english people are stupid if those 3 words all describe the same thing :P) But Matt Smith in a SuTuxSmok just Aaaaaaaaahh! (L)(L)

    I loved the doctor who finale! This series was so different from the previous but I loved it! I think I'm starting to prefer Matt Smith over David Tennant :$. Although with David Tennant as the doctor I always had the feeling he knew what to do and with this doctor sometimes I'm not really sure about that. I can't wait till the christmas special :D.

    Also, my sister's 'You've Got To Love Yourself' t-shirt came today. I'm happy, because now, between me, Beth (my sister) and my amazing friend Johanna, we have FOUR t-shirts made by awesome Youtubers (I've got the 117% Complete one, I got Johanna and Beth Johnny Durham t-shirts for Christmas, and now Beth just got Charlie's)! So we're gonna take lots of photos of us wearing them, and send them to you, Charlie and Johnny. So yeah, that's my summer, filled with t-shirt awesomeness!

    as far as the videos go, i did think the elephants were cool as an art installation, but i can see that you guys are better when you do your own things; you reading twilight is funnier than he was, and his challenges are funnier.

    (btw, i agree with you. 'vincent and the doctor' wasn't very good. there was good dialogue; the beginning was promising and the ending was strong. if only there wasn't that awful middle bit that they called 'a plot'.)

    I really enjoyed your video–and was impressed at how much editing you did ( it's a pain in the ass in iMovie, am I right? :P ). Thanks for the pre-screen of “You and Me,” I was excited to hear it especially after I got confirmation that the TWIM physical has shipped and should arrive either Monday or Tuesday.

    Those elephants seemed really cool. Shame I live in the wrong country because I'd love to see them.

    In terms of Doctor Who, only because you mentioned it. I thought the finale was brilliant. You can definitely tell the differences between RTD and Moffat and I love the way both of them write episodes, but I have loved Moffat's writing since back when he did Blink etc. I won't say anything spoilerish though, just incase there are readers of your blog that haven't seen the episode yet.
    Also now that the series is over, I can say I really enjoy Matt as the Doctor. I think he's quite awesome, although all 3 of the Doctors from the new series have been. ^_^

    Oh I'm getting your CD soon too. I got an email from DFTBA saying it's been shipped :D

    I think with those three, you can get a good idea of the album's sound. It's synthy, but it's not always mindless dance-pop. I still stand by The Time Of Your Life – I love how blaring the synths are against the really vulnerable lyrics.

    Evidently you can't mention Doctor Who and not expect people to go mental ;)
    SPEAKING OF DOCTOR WHO :D I was kinda miffed that they ended the series without explaining what the previous series was actually based on. It might keep the Doctor Who hype going for a while, but it's not something that Davies ever really did did.
    Anyway! Yes, your video was good. < Support, right there. Nom on it. You know you want to.
    Charlie's was good too, but he's just too nice to mock it to it's fullest extent. :D Something that you excel at. Still very funny though.
    And your t-shirt reflects your personality. Mental. :)

    i think you are really different to charlie in terms of vlogging and audience. your more natural and chatty on camera while when i watch charlies i feel like he has to try really hard to look natural. also, as funny as charlie is, the vulgarity of your videos just makes them that much funnier as it is not over used as some comedians do.
    the new track is great and i cant wait to get your album throuh my door! i didnt think doctor who was as dramatic as it could have been for a last episode of the series but it was still good, i understood most of what was going on. <3

    I've sort of lost my passion for Doctor Who..
    I haven't even really been keeping up with the episodes.
    I just simply can't be bothered. I'm bored with the new series.
    Maybe it's my major crush on David Tennant that always made me so excited to see as much of him as possible. Maybe that's what made it so much more real whenever he was hurt, or upset, or enraged (which happened quite a bit, mind you), and maybe that's what made the show magical for me. When he cried, I cried. When he died, a little part of me died with him. With Matt Smith, it's simply not the same.
    I just really don't care for him. I'm not excited to see him each week.
    If he were to suddenly be killed off, I don't know that I'd bat an eye. I think I'd simply shrug, and move on to the next episode (or Doctor, as the case may be). Perhaps this all makes me a terrible Who fan (“Whovian”, but what a shit word, honestly), but it is true.

    Ahh I loved your video..the song made me want to frolick. in a field of elephants. preferably puppy sized. ! and I love charlie like no other, but he doesn't quite have the zing you have when reading twilight. my theory is that he was still in shock from the horridness.

    the doctor who season finale was kind of odd pr should i say ood. I mean i understand why Moffat would want to play his first season safe but still. I feel like it was too happy in a way, And what i didn't understand was how the doctor at first couldn't open the Pandorica with his screw driver but then all of a sudden he was opening and closing it at his free will. It also really anoyed me how the daleks united with the other villains. I mean moffat not only changed the appearance of the dalek but also the way i perceived them. For as far as i knew i could never imagine a dalek forming an alliance even if it cost them their life.
    ok i will shut up and stop this awkward rant

    in other news i love your song the world is mine. i have had it on repeat on my ipod all weekend. I really hope you come to chicago when you tour. i am a big fan and i give u the best of luck
