Listening party event

NINE DAYS

Does anyone wanna hear the album early by the way? Cos you totally can. Well, if you live in London, you can. Next week, Chameleon Circuit are putting on a show :D

It’s a listening party. Two listening parties, actually. We’re gonna play the whole album in full, uninterrupted, and then we’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have about the CD (and hang around afterwards so I can learn all your names and distribute my patented cuddles). It’ll be pretty intimate – there’s space for just over sixty people at each event – so prior to the album’s public release, you will be in an exclusive club of people who still have legs. Oh, I’ll be selling my CDs there as well, if there’s anyone out there who wants them but doesn’t have them already.

Tickets to the listening parties are twenty pounds BUT that price includes a physical copy of the CD which will be shipped out to you as soon as it’s ready. On its own that’d be at least a tenner. Everyone will also get a copy of the album’s lyrics before the CD begins so you can follow along. Like a hymn book, but not as weird. And you get to meet Charlie, which is priceless, isn’t it? (Well, no. It’s twenty pounds. Twenty pounds is how much it costs to meet Charlie.)

So that’s all good, yeah? Listening party, Friday and Saturday, listen to the album, smile at our faces, give us some feedback and we’ll all be wonderful. Oh, the Saturday party is the same day as the last episode of Doctor Who, but we’ll start early enough that we can all get home in time to watch it. I don’t wanna miss it either. We’ll finally get to find out who River Song is! Wouldn’t it be brilliant if, at the moment of the big reveal, she unzips herself like a Slitheen and out pops Russell T Davies. Surprise!

    Woohooo I can finally go to a gig cause I’m spending the summer in Cambridge (my cousin lives there) ^_^ I’ll probably be there on Saturday cause then I don’t need to find a hostel for the night and I can just return by train before the end of the day… I’ll probably not be back before the last ep of Doctor Who but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Besides, I have access to iPlayer here :)
    I may have to move to England permanently. I love it here. Right now we’re in Bath, beautiful city!

    ALEX! OMG! You couldn’t really have chosen worse days- both those days I’m in a performance with my drama group, and if I miss that  I will probably be murdered because my drama teacher is EVIL. I’m glad you clarifed that we get a CD as well… So that is like £10 for the CD (plus shipping?) and about a £10 for the event (Plus a part of the cost of renting the place ect) Hm.. a bit much but maybe that just how much tickets to these types of things cost now a days. I remember back in oldoldold days of… 2006 maybe 2007 I went and saw Block Party for £5 at the corn exchange. But I guess we didn’t get a CD…

    I don’t even know why I said all of that, because I can’t go anyway. I have finals and train tickets from aberdeen arn’t cheep. Oh well.

    If you are only an hour away the train tricket can be really cheap if you book now, really cheap as in under £20. It just depends if you are allowed to go to london by yourself (I would bother asking if you are under 16, parents are like that) and if you got more than £40 birthday money, good luck ;)

    If you don’t wanna leave early I understand but trust me it is super easy to get to where the event is, the London Bridge area is very central. Also if I remember right last time I got a coach into london the last stop was Marble Arch. So if the leeds coach terminates there, getting to london bridge just got 10 times easyer as it is very central as well.

    As much as I’d love to see Russel T Davies popping out of a dress, Moffat probably wouldn’t survive the summer if he actually wrote an episode in which we find out something.  I think A Good Man Goes to War is the first part of a two-part episode and the title for the second part is not even published (talk about cliffhangers). Plus, River says that the Doctor is going to find out who she is “today”, not necessarily in that episode. It’s going to be one hell of a summer.

    Perhaps, after this event, you and your friend can switch with me and my friend? We’re Americans who always wish we lived in England. (We have this insane plan to move to London next year after she turns 18, it’s never gonna happen, but we can dream.)

    WHY DO I NOT LIVE IN LODON!? I swear, once I get done with college, I’m out of America and into London! Hopefully, Chameleon Circuit will still be around by then and Doctor Who is still making new episodes.  <— That last bit doesn't quite make sense but you get what I mean.
    Chameleon Circuit is my absolute favorite band. I never understood the obsession about bands before now. I feel like I can somewhat connect to you because I love Doctor Who and you guys make videos directed towards us, your audience.
