I have my album, fully mastered and pretty, playing in my iTunes right nao :D And I’m about to send the WAVs to Alan so he can begin the ordering process. (I called his copy of the album ‘The WAVs Are Yours’.)
Since Alan hasn’t heard the album yet, we considered just opening GarageBand and letting it run for half an hour while I play long chords and old songs I wrote five years ago, every now and then having Tom bang the wall for percussion or just call out “play it louder”. And then I send it to Alan and see if we can convince him that this is my new album. I didn’t run with that thought, but if I had, it would have been brilliant.
Also, for our performance on The Zone, I’m just going to be singing to the backing track of Georgia, with Ed miming the guitar part along with it instead of playing it live, because they have restrictions on time. As a result, I’m considering having us both play inflatable guitars, to fully emphasise the not-live bits of the instrumentation. Thoughts?
